Compost material can be collected and stored all through the year. Composting and the decomposition process depends greatly on the temperature and environment in which you live. Therefore results will vary from region to region depending on the country in which you live.
Decomposition is accelerated by heat and moisture so in more humid areas the decomposition process will be faster than in dryer cooler regions. During winter the E.R.Composter is the ideal receptacle for your compost materials as it helps to retain heat thus continuing the decomposition process of waste materials even though temperatures may be cooler.
During the 'off season' for growing, continue to layer in the normal way. The bigger your pile the more heat it will retain. At the start of spring more material becomes available as the growing season begins. |
